Warcraft: Orcs and Humans was developed and published by Blizzard Entertainment in 1994. It is where the grand story of the Warcraft series begun.
The story of Warcraft begin when Mage Medivh, scion of a mortal human and one of the last guardians, comes under the influence of the dark Titan, Sargeras. Mad with lust for power, he offers the world of Azeroth to the bloodthirsty Orcs in exchange for the Titan's powers and unwavering loyalty of the Orcish Horde.
The Orcs begin a very swift invasion of Azeroth but are, at first, beaten back and Medivh himself is slain, putting an end to his quest for power and domination. However, fortunes take a turn for the worse when the Orcs assassinate King Llane, sack Stormwind Keep, and drive the humans from Azeroth north into the Lordaeron subcontinent.
Like early real-time strategy games, there are two campaigns for us to play in Warcraft. First, we play the Orcs campaign, then the Humans campaign.
The gameplay follow the usual pattern: collect resource, build technology, build army and destroy enemies. Though there are some levels that need us to scout around to complete a certain objective.
Like the first Command and Conquer, we cannot select a whole group of unit at once. And also because of this, the gameplay require a lot of micro management and quite tedious when we want to order the whole group of 20 units to launch attack on enemies.
In conclusion, Warcraft is one of the best game for PC gaming industry. You can download Warcraft: Orcs and Humans here.
